The decision was taken at the meeting held with the participation of the section of the ACC concerned with prevention, with Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmood in the chair on Monday.
There is an allegation that people are at health hazard due to corruption of some people responsible for preventing environmental pollution. Pollution in food, sanitation management, cleanliness, water, air and sound pollution are putting people at health risk, said the ACC Chairman.
As part of the initiative, the ACC will hold a view-exchange meeting with the different government organisations tasked with taking action against or preventing environmental pollution. The commission will take effective measures as per the opinion of the authorities concerned after discussion.
