Dhaka, July 25 (UNB) - The Anti-Corruption Commission ( ACC) on Thursday handed Mohammed Erfanul Haque, a booking assistant of Kishoreganj Railway Station who was arrested yesterday, to the Senior Special Judge's Court, Kishoreganj.
The accused was arrested for buying rail tickets in advance and selling them at higher prices.
A complaint was registered at the ACC Complaint Center that all tickets booked by the railway employees were then sold at higher prices to the passenger.
Accordingly, the operation of coordinated district office of ACC in Mymensingh yesterday arrested Mohamed Erfanul Haque, a booking assistant at Bajitpur station along with 368 tickets from the Dhaka-based Egarsindur and Kishoreganj Express.
A regular case has been filed against the accused by Mymensingh Anti-Corruption Commission office and handed over to the Senior Special Judge's Court, Kishoreganj, on charges of criminal misconduct over abuse of power.
