Chattogram, Apr 6 (UNB) – A case was filed on Saturday against eight people over piercing both the legs of a young man with a drill for his inability to pay extortion in the city.
Victim Amzad’s father Nurul Azim filed the case with Chandgaon Police Station in the morning, said Abul Bashar Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge of the police station.
The accused are Didar, Jalal, Millat, Nishan, Sujon, Habib, Rashed and Bappi.
Nurul Azim said a group of miscreants, including Jalal, Millat and Didar, demanded extortion to his son but he could not pay the toll as demanded by the.
The miscreants swooped on Amzad at Shamserpara on Thursday and dug holes on his both legs using a drill.
Later, Amzad was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for treatment.
