The overall number of Covid cases has now surged past 603 million amid a rise in new infections in parts of the world.
According to the latest global data, the total case count mounted to 603,320,911 and the death toll reached 6,480,128 on Thursday morning.
The US has recorded 95,734,084 cases so far and 1,067,549 people have died from the virus in the country, the data shows.
India's daily Covid-19 caseload again breached the 10,000-mark, two days after remaining below it, officials said on Wednesday.
According to the federal health ministry data released on Wednesday morning, 10,649 new cases of Covid were reported in 24 hours, taking the total tally to 44,368,195 in the country.
With the fresh cases, India's active caseload currently stands at 96,442.
The country also logged 36 Covid-related deaths in 24 hours, pushing the overall death toll to 527,452 since the beginning of the pandemic, the ministry said.
Covid in Bangladesh
Bangladesh reported three Covid deaths and 167 new cases in 24 hours to Wednesday morning.
While the country's total fatalities rose to 29,319, the new cases took the caseload to 2,010,490, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The daily case test positivity rate rose to 3.89 percent from Tuesday’s 3.85 percent as 4,293 samples were tested.
The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.46 percent. The recovery rate remained static at 97.22 percent.
In July, the country reported 142 Covid-linked deaths and 31,422 cases, the highest monthly death toll and caseload since March this year.
Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28 last year and daily fatalities of 264 on August 10 the same year.
