The High Court on Monday summoned a Madaripur magistrate who ordered the accused in a dowry case to appear in court despite a stay on the judicial proceedings by an order of the High Court.
The High Court bench of Justice Md Habibul Gani and Justice Ahmed Sohel asked Madaripur Senior Judicial Magistrate KM Alamgir Hossain to appear before the court on March 10 and present his statement in this regard.

Deputy Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman Monir said that the High Court suspended the proceedings of a case under section 3 of the Dowry Act for six months on September 4, i.e. till March 3.
Senior Judicial Magistrate KM Alamgir Hossain, however, ordered the accused to appear on September 14 last year even after the case proceedings were suspended in the High Court.
The accused pleaded to the High Court against the order.
