Kushtia, Oct 2 (UNB) - Islamic University (IU) authorities have decided to stop its all evening courses following a demand by its students.
The decision was taken at the 242nd syndicate meeting of the university held on Monday night with IU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari in the chair.
IU Pro-VC Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasure Prof Dr M Selim Toha and acting Registrar SM Abdul Latif were, among others, present at the meeting.
IU VC Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari told UNB that they took the decision following a demand of the general students.
On July 29 last, the members of IU academic council proposed stopping the evening courses at its 113rd academic council meeting considering the demand of its general students.
