The association raised the demand at an IUTA general meeting held at Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium around noon. The teachers urged the university authorities to take proper steps to resume the activities of evening courses.
IUTA would take action if anyone expressed their opinion against it in academic council meeting.
Among others, IUTA President Professor M Kamal Uddin, its Secretary Professor Alamgir Hossain Bhuiya, IUT Treasurer Professor M Mamunur Rahman and member Professor M Mahbubar Rahman were present in the meeting.
The university authorities stopped evening courses considering the demand of general students on October 2 last year.
IU Treasurer Prof Selim said they would take necessary steps about the matter after holding a discussion with stakeholders.
