The number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose to 31 in Barishal after seven more people tested positive on Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner SM Ajior Rahman said the new patients include two women. Their samples were tested at Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
“Their houses have been put under lockdown,” he added.

Among the seven patients, two are from Babuganj upazila, two from Banaripara and one each from Ujirpara, Hijla and Barishal city.
Two coronavirus patients were detected for the first time here on April 12.
Meanwhile, coronavirus claimed nine more lives in the last 24 hours till Tuesday, taking the death toll in the country to 110.
Besides, 434 people tested positive for coronavirus during the period, raising the number of confirmed cases in the country to 3,382.
