Yusuf, also the former president of Chattogram Press Club, had been suffering from old age complexity along with kidney problems for last nine months at his residence after his stroke, family members said.
He left behind his two daughters, a son and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death. His first namaz-e-janaza will be held on the Press Club premises on Monday morning at 10 am and on Station Road at 10:30 am.
In his 34 years professional career, Yusuf worked for different renowned newspapers, including Dainik Azadi, Dainik Sambad. He also made the president of Khelaghor in Chattogram city and the press club.
Chattogram Journalist Union President Nazim Uddin Samal, General Secretary Hasan Ferdous, BFUJ vice president Riaz Haider Chowdhury, Joint Secretary General Mohsin Kazi, Chattogram Press Club president Kalim Sarwar and its general secretary Shuklal Das expressed deep shock at his death.
