A thirteen member troupe of Swapnadal will fly for Japan on Tuesday to attend the 37-day festival which began on October 13 and scheduled to end on November 18.
The thirteen members are- Juana Sobnom, Fazle Rabbi, Samad Bhuiyan, Shishir Shikder, Zebun Nesa, Shakawat Shamol, Mehedi Rana, Sonali Rahman, Arko Apu, Nishorgo Sobnom, Anindo Antorikkho, Sumaya Akhter and Zahid Repon.
The play will be staged at Theatre West auditorium of Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre on November 3 and November 4.
Tringsha Shatabdi, written by Indian playwright Badal Sarkar and directed by Zahid Repon, unveils the genocides that took place different times in the world through interrogations of some historical characters.
Talking to UNB, the director of the play and the founder of the troupe, Zahid Repon said that Swapnadal will represent Bangladesh for the first time in the Japan-based festival.
