The Mini Ranji Trophy’s fourth and final day match was held at M Chinnaswamy Stadium located in Bangalore.
Resuming the 2nd innings with overnight score of 274 for 8 in 68.0 overs, Dr DY Patil Cricket Academy, who commenced their 2nd innings Thursday with 25-run lead, were all out for 311 in 71.3 overs giving a tough winning target of 336 runs for BCB XI on the last day.
Naushad Shaikh smashed 108 off 163 balls and night watchman Iqbal Abdullah scored 70 off 55 deliveries for Dr DY Patil CA while Bandgladesh speedster fast bowler Taskin Ahmed grabbed five wickets for 69 and NayeemHasan bagged 2 for 66 for the Bangladeshi side.
BCB XI opened the 2nd innings on Friday afternoon and scored 156 for 3 in 52 overs when the bails were drawn for the 4th and final day to settle for a draw.
Najmul Hossain Shanto and Saif Hasan remained unbeaten at 59 and 21 runs respectively.
Earlier in the first innings, left arm spinner of BCB XI Taijul Islam grabbed six wickets conceding 144 runs to bowl out Dr DY Patil Cricket Academy for 331 in 102.5 overs. Ashay Sardesai smashed 128 runs off 282 balls.
In reply, the BCB XI were dismissed for 306 in 88 overs in their first innings featuring a half century by Kazi Nurul Hossain (87 off 118 balls), conceding a first innings lead of 25.
Mukesh Choudhary picked up three wickets for Dr DY Patil CA while Aquib Qureshi, Sairaj Patil and Naushad Shaikh bagged two wickets each.
BCB XI are now 3rd in the four-team Group B securing 4 points from two matches.
The touring side will now face KSCA Secretary's XI team in their next game beginning on July 22 at the same venue.
