It was the successive series victory for the Young Tigers after winning the one-off T20 series beating the visiting English Youth team by seven wickets on Sunday last.
Bangladesh U-19 team, which got off to a flying start in the three-match ODI series beating England U-19 by five wickets last Tuesday, will play the remaining match on Saturday (Feb 2) at the same venue.
In the day’s 2nd Youth ODI, the English team batted first after winning the toss and scored 256 for 7 in 50 overs featuring a 111-run partnership in the 3rd wicket stand between last match half centurion LP Goldsworthy and skipper JL Smith.
Two down LP Goldsworthy hammered the match-highest 73 runs off 91 deliveries, including six fours and two sixes, captain cum one down batsman JL Smith contributed 48 runs off 58 balls hitting two fours and two sixes, opener WCF Smeed scored 57-ball 43 runs with seven boundaries while another opener BG

Mrittunjoy Chowdhury was most successful among the Bangladeshi bowlers grabbing four wickets for 50 runs while Rishad Hossain, Ashraful Islam and Tanzid Hasan Sakib took one wicket each conceding 36, 41 and 51 runs respectively.
In reply, the Young Tigers, riding on a quick 70 runs by opener Tanzid Hasan, reached their target scoring 258 runs for the loss of five wickets in 47.5 overs.
Opener Tanzid Hasan quick-fired 46-ball 70 runs featuring 12 fours and one six and was adjudged man of the match.
Besides, a 106-run partnership in the 5th wicket stand by Mahmudul Hasan Joy and captain Akbar Ali also played an important role for the Bangladesh victory.
Number four batsman Mahmudul Hasan Joy scored an unconquered 58 off 92 deliveries hitting five fours, number six Akbar Ali made 75-ball 57 runs with the help of five boundaries, number seven Mrittunjon Chowdhury made 13-ball 12 runs with boundary while one down Parvez Hossain Emong scored 15-ball 11 runs, including two boundaries, for the home side.
Hamidullah Qadri claimed three wickets for 48 runs while GCH Hill and GP Balderson took one wicket each giving away 40 and 49 runs respectively.
After the ODI series, the English team will travel to Chattogram on February 4 to play a two-match four-day Youth Tests series from February 7-10 and February 15-18 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
The visitors will leave for home on February 19.
