Various organisations have chalked out elaborate programmes on the occasion.
Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) on Monday will organise a seminar at its office where Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, State Minister Kamal Ahmed Mazumder, Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) president Sheikh Fazle Fahim and BSTI Director General Md Muazzem Hossain will be present with Industries Secretary Md Abdul Halim in the chair.
BSTI regional offices will also arrange different programmes while television channels, radios will broadcast separate programmes.
Every year on 14 October, the members of IEC, ISO and ITU celebrate World Standards Day, which is a means of paying tribute to the collaborative efforts of the thousands of experts worldwide who develop the voluntary technical agreements that are published as International Standards.
