Three Supreme Court lawyers on Thursday appealed to the President and the Prime Minister for declaring a state of emergency in the country to prevent transmission of coronavirus.
The lawyers are Mohammad Shishir Monir, Asad Uddin and Jubaidur Rahman.
They submitted a letter to the offices of the President and the Prime Minister in this regard.
According to their letter, seven countries have already declared state of emergency due to coronavirus outbreak.
The people of the country could be protected from the upcoming disaster if a state of emergency is declared considering the situation, they said.
