Cox’s Bazar, Sept 26 (UNB) – Police recovered the throat-slit bodies of four members of a family, including two children, from a house at Purba Ratnapalong village in Ukhiya upazila on Thursday.
One of the deceased was identified as Sakhi Barua, 50, wife of Parabin Barua while the identities of her daughter-in-law and two grandchildren could not be known immediately.
Abul Mansur, officer-in-charge of Ukhiya Police Station, said Sakhi Barua along with her daughter-in-law and two grandchildren used to live at the house as her son stays abroad for job.
Local people spotted the bodies at their house and informed police who recovered the throat-slit bodies around 7:30 am.
The bodies were sent to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
