Bhola, Oct 23 (UNB) – A case was filed on Wednesday over the vandalism of a Hindu temple, looting, and setting fire to houses belonging to the minority community in the district.
Satya Prasad, president of the Mandir Committee, filed the case at Borhanuddin Police Station against unidentified people, said Sub-Inspector Shariful Islam, the case’s investigation officer.
According to case statement, a mob vandalised the temple and then set fire to 8-10 houses after looting them.
No arrest has been made yet, the IO said.

The incident took place on Oct 20 when four people were killed and about 200 others were injured in a clash between police and locals in Borhanuddin upazila. The protesters were demanding punishment of a Hindu youth who had allegedly hurt religious sentiments on Facebook.
