“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken a stance against corruption and for this, BNP should hail the government. Law enforcers are conducting drives wherever they’re finding corruption, irregularities and drugs abuse,” he said while talking to reporters at the secretariat.
Mentioning that some outsiders have infiltrated into Awami League, the minister said work is on to make a list of the intruders.
Talking about BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s remarks that snakes are coming out of earthworm's holes, Hasan said, “BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is a python and he swallows everything whatever comes before him. He used to take 10 percent commission from Hawa Bhaban for every government work whereas Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. BNP should be ashamed of their failure.”
He also said the Chief Minister of Tripura has agreed to name a road in memory of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
