Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Sunday urged BNP to take lessons from the 21st council of Bangladesh Awami League.
“There are many things for BNP to learn from the recently concluded council. We hope that BNP will learn and come out of the roguish circle where they are stranded,” he said at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in the evening after visiting actor ATM Shamsuzzaman, who is undergoing treatment there.
Mahmud, also the publicity and publication secretary of the ruling party, said the council is a milestone not only in the country’s politics, but also at the national level.
Blaming former president Ziaur Rahman for criminalising country’s politics, he said the legacy was retained by late Hussain Muhammad Ershad and then BNP chief Khaleda Zia.
