“He’ll be shifted to a cabin from the ICU on Tuesday,” said Prof Dr Abu Nasar Rizvi of the Neuromedicine department of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Monday.
Rizvi briefed the media quoting a member of the medical board treating the ruling Awami League general secretary at Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
Quader also spoke to his family members, MP Ekramul Karim Chowdhury and Awami League leaders, the physician said.
Cardiothoracic surgeon Dr Sivathasan Cumaraswamy, a member of the medical board, also briefed the minister’s family about his improvement.
Quader was admitted to BSMMU on March 3 following his breathing complications. Doctors later found three blockages in his coronary arteries.
He was flown to Singapore the next day for better treatment.
