River ports in certain regions have been asked to hoist ‘riverine warning signal No 2’ as temporary west or north-westerly squalls are likely to hit the country.
West or north-westerly squalls may blow through places of Cumilla, Noakhali, Madaripur and Chattogram with a speed of 60-80 km per hour and the river ports there should hoist ‘riverine warning signal No 2’, said a warning from the Met office.
Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary west or nor’westerly squalls with a speed of 45-60 km per hour is likely to occur in the rest river posts of the country whereby they were asked to hoist cautionary signal No 1.
