Khulna, Aug 7 (UNB) – Criminals stabbed a young man to death and injured another at Ghohordanga village in Terokhada upazila on early Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Naim Sheikh, 26, son of Hiru Sheikh of the village.

Salekuzzaman, officer-in-charge of Terokhada Police Station, said several assailants attacked the house of Hiru Sheikh around 3am and hit him with sharp weapons.

Hearing screams, Naim rushed in and tried to save his father. The miscreants stabbed Naim indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.

Later, Hiru Sheikh was taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital. 

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a hospital morgue for autopsy.
