Their mesmerizing performance will add very different flavour to the second of the three day long folk Festival which commenced on Thursday evening with Bhabna, a dance troupe, from Bangladesh presenting the inaugural show.
Los Texmaniacs, a conjunto band created by Max Baca in 1997, won the 2009 GRAMMY award for Best Tejano Album for Borders y Bailes.
Los Texmaniacs have collaborated with various artists from different genres including Rick Trevino (country music), Flaco Jimenez (Tejano), Los Lobos (Latin) and even Hip Hop recording artist and songwriter King Montana.
On the other hand, Majaz are touted as ‘a hidden gem’ from Bahrain. It is a new band based in Bahrain which was formed in 2013 and consists of five musicians who have previous experiences in creating music, enriching the music scene of Bahrain through their various projects.
Majaz creates a unique sound and style.
Sun Communications in association with Sun Foundation is organizing the festival in the country for the fourth year.
The performances will run from November at Bangladesh Army Stadium every day from 6pm to 12am.
Some 174 artistes from 7 countries including Bangladesh are gathering in one stage to celebrate the music of the heart.
