With the homecoming of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in 1981, the nation got freed from stigma through the trials of war criminals and the killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Sunday.
Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, made the remarks while speaking at a relief distribution programme at AL president’s Dhanmondi political office through a videoconference from his official residence.
Mentioning that Bangladesh is on the verge of “conquering the world” under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu, he said,” Bangladesh is standing with its head high because of Sheikh Hasina.”
The minister said Bangladesh is still in a better position compared to other countries in the world as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken effective steps since the beginning of coronavirus crisis.
Overcoming the crisis, the country will move forward to achieve the expected development and progress under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Quader added.
