Dhaka, Oct 3 (UNB) – Power Development Board (PDB) clinched the Biman Bangladesh National Men’s Beach Volleyball title beating Border Gurad Bangladesh (BGB) by 21-18, 21-11 points in the final at Sugonda points of Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach on Wednesday.  

Bangladesh Ansar lifted the Women’s Beach Volleyball title beating Begum Anwar Sporting Club by 21-14, 21-19 points in the final at the same venue.

Bangladesh Ansar finished 3rd in the men’s section while Bangladesh Police became 3rd in the women’s section of the meet.

Deputy Office Secretary of the ruling Bangladesh Awami League Barrister Biplob Barua was the chief guest in the day’s final and later he distributed the prizes. 

Chairman of the Cox’s Bazar Pourashava Mujibar Rahman, General Manager of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Shakil Meraj were also present at the closing function, chaired by President of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation M Atiqul Islam.

A total of 18 teams took part in the men’s and women’s group of the competition.
