South Asian soccer giant India will play Nepal in the first semifinal on the same day and same venue at 3:30 pm.
Ahead of the first semifinal against Bhutan, the Head Coach of Bangladesh team Golam Rabbani Chotan said, “Our initial target was to reach final and we are hopeful to achieve our goal winning the semifinal against Bhutan”.
“We seek blessing from the countrymen to achieve the target” he added.
Bangladesh women’s team made walking session in the morning and later took part in gym and training session in Thursday.
Bangladesh women’s team smartly reached the semifinal of the maiden SAFF U-18 Women’s Championship as the Group B champions with all-win record crushing Pakistan by 17-0 goals in the first match beating Nepal by 2-1 goals in the 2nd match.
Hosts Bhutan managed a seat for semifinal as the Group A runners up crushing the Maldives by 13-0 goals after conceding 0-4 goals defeat against Group A champions India.
In Bangladesh’s match against Pakistan, Sirat Jahan Shopna made a double hat-trick scoring seven goals in the 10th, 30th, 44th, 62nd, 73rd , 76th and 90th minutes, Marzia made a hat-tricks scoring four goals in the 7th, 13th, 22nd, and 71st minutes while Sheuly Azim struck twice in the 32nd and 69th minutes respectively.
Besides, captain Mishrat Jahan Mousumi, Akhi Khatun and Krishna Rani Sarker and Tohura Khatun netted one goal each for Bangladesh in the 37th, 58th, 74th and 87th minutes respectively.
Siraj Jahan Shopna and Krishna Rani Sarker scored one goal each for Bangladesh over 2-1 victory against Nepal in group affairs.
With the feat, Siraj Jahan Shopna of Bangladesh is leading the scorer list making eight individual goals in just two matches.
