Bangladesh have made one change to their previous playing XI as Mohammad Saifuddin has been sidelined due to a back injury, and Abu Jayed Rahi got his ODI cap. The right-arm pacer played five tests and three T20Is before ODI debut.
The Tigers came to this match aiming a place in the final of tri-nation series. They won their first match against West Indies by eight wickets. However, the second match against Ireland was washed out due to persistent rain.
Now, the other win against West Indies will help the Tigers grab a place in the final scheduled on May 17.
In the first win against West Indies, it was Bangladesh's senior players, who stood up and engineered a big win against the Caribbean boys. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza took three wickets, Tamim Iqbal hit a brilliant 80. Along with them, Soumya Sarkar, Mustafizur Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin also performed well.
Despite the good run in the series, Bangladesh will keen to see Mustafiuzr concedes lesser runs. In the first win against West Indies, the left-arm pacer leaked 84 runs.
On the other hand, West Indies are also having a good time in Ireland. They have won two matches against Ireland. In both of the matches, Caribbean batting line was imperious. They have scored three centuries against Ireland.
They will not get the service of Shannon Gabriel in this match. In the place of Shannon, Raymon Reifer set to get the ODI cap.
However, in today’s battle, Bangladesh’s main challenge will be check runs against West Indian batsmen. If they can do it properly, they will have a golden chance to make the way to the final with one match to play before the final.
