In the day’s match, Li-Hsin Chang opened account for Chinese Taipei in the 5th minute (1-0) but Juairiya Ferdous leveled the margin for Bangladesh scoring her first goal from penalty corner in the 11th minute (1-1).
Ting-Yu Ko, Li-Hsin Chang and Chen-Yi Ku scored one goal each just in a span of 10 minutes (21st, 29th, and 31st minutes) to seal the victory for Chinese Taipei (4-1).
In the 32nd minute, Juairiya Ferdous scored her 2nd goal of the match from penalty corner (4-2).
Bangladesh Women’s Hockey team finished 5th in the six-team Women’s Hockey Qualifiers securing 3 points from five matches with one win and four defeats.
They earned their historical maiden win in the international hockey beating Sri Lanka by 2-0 goals in the 2nd match on Tuesday while conceding a 0-3 goals defeat against hosts Singapore on Monday, 0-1 goal defeat against Hong Kong China on Thursday and a 0-6 goals defeat against Uzbekistan on Saturday.
The team will return home on Monday (September 16).
