Dengue: Bangladesh reports 380 cases, zero death in 24 hrs
Another 380 people were hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours till Thursday morning.
The total fatalities remained unchanged at 254 as no death was reported during this period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new patients, 218 were admitted to the hospitals of Dhaka and 162 outside it, said DGHS.

A total of 1,744 dengue patients, including 981 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
The DGHS has recorded 57,738 dengue cases and 55,740 recoveries so far this year.
Bangladesh sees one more Covid death, 15 cases
Bangladesh reported one more Covid-linked death and 15 cases in the 24 hours to Friday morning.
With the new numbers, the country's total fatalities rose to 29,434 and caseload to 2,036,612, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The daily case test positivity rate rose to 0.79 percent from Thursday's 0.45 percent as 1,894 samples were tested.
The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.45 percent and the recovery rate at 97.51 percent.In November, the country reported 10 Covid-linked deaths and 1,345 cases.

Dengue: Death toll rises to 234 as 4 more die
With four more deaths from dengue confirmed in 24 hours till Monday morning, the official death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 234 this year.
Among those died in the last 24 hours, three were from Dhaka division and one from Rajshahi division.
The latest numbers took Dhaka and Barishal divisions’ death toll to 142 and 11, respectively.
During this time, 606 more patients, including 289 in Dhaka city, were hospitalised, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

A total of 2,351 dengue patients, including 1,258 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
DGHS has recorded 53,413 dengue cases and 50,828 recoveries so far this year.
Dengue death toll reaches 220
Three more deaths from dengue were reported by health authorities on Friday morning, raising this year’s total fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 220.
During the period, 250 patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The number usually drops significantly in the counts released on Fridays.
With the new patients, this year’s dengue caseload rose to 51,602, it said.
Among the latest deaths, two were reported from Dhaka and one from Mymensingh, raising the death toll in the two divisions to 133 and 6, respectively.
Meanwhile, death toll remained unchanged at eleven in Khulna, nine in Barishal, six in Rajshahi and 55 in Chattogram.

Of the new patients, 171 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 79 outside it, according to the DGHS.
A total of 2,712 dengue patients, including 1,538 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
The Directorate has recorded 48,670 recoveries so far this year.
On November 8, this year’s fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease reached 182, exceeding all previous records in Bangladesh.
Previously the highest 179 deaths from Dengue in a year was recorded in 2019.
Bangladesh reports another Covid death, 46 cases
Bangladesh reported another Covid-19-linked death and 46 fresh cases in 24 hours till Sunday morning.
With the new numbers, the country's total fatalities rose to 29,426 and caseload to 2,035,828, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The daily case test positivity rate dropped to 1.00 per cent from Saturday’s 1.96 per cent as 4,621 samples were tested during the period.
The latest deceased was a man from Sylhet division.

The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.45 percent while the recovery rate rose to 97.38 per cent.
In October, the country reported 60 Covid-linked deaths and 10,043 cases.

No let-up in Dengue in Bangladesh, 29 die in five days of November
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has recoded 29 deaths from dengue in the five days of the current month till Sunday (November 06, 2022) amid a sharp rise in dengue cases in different parts of Bangladesh.
Three more deaths from dengue in 24 hours till Sunday morning raised this year’s fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 170, the second-highest on record after the 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
During the 24-hour period, 908 patients were hospitalized with the viral fever, according to the DGHS.

The gradual increase in dengue infections has created panic among the residents of Dhaka city.
Hospitals are failing to cope with the pressure of dengue patients despite setting up new wards.
Doctors and health experts say that measures taken by the city corporations and other authorities are not proving to be effective. The publicity and drives carried out by the authorities to destroy larvae of Aedes mosquito, the carrier of the dengue virus, are appearing to be inadequate.

Of the latest deaths, two were reported from Dhaka and one from Chattogram division.
The new figures raised the death toll in Dhaka division to 105, in Chattogram division to 43.
Of the new patients, 476 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 432 outside it, according to the DGHS.

A total of 3,368 dengue patients, including 2,042 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
The directorate has recorded 43,107 dengue cases and 39, 569 recoveries so far this year.

The new figures rose the death toll in Dhaka division to 103, in Chattogram division to 42 and in Khulna to eight.
The death toll remained unchanged at six in Barishal and at four each in Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions.

Five more deaths from dengue in 24 hours till Monday morning raised this year’s fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 141.
During the period, 873more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Four of the deaths were reported from Dhaka and another from Khulna division.
With this, the Dengue death toll in Dhaka division rose to 86 and in Khulna division to six.
The death toll remained unchanged at 38 in Chattogram, at five in Barishal, at four in Mymensingh, and two in Rajshahi division.
Of the new patients, 545 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 328 outside it, according to the DGHS.
