Abdul Monem, chairman of Monem Group, passed away at Combined Military Hospital on Sunday morning. He was 83.
Abdul Monem suffered a stroke on May 17 and was undergoing treatment at the hospital where he breathed his last around 10am.
He will be buried at his village home in Brahmanbaria.
In separate condolence messages, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, Commerce Minister, Tipu Munshi and Law Minister Anisul Huq expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Abdul Monem.
