Commuters gathered in festive mood at the Metro Rail stations in Agargaon and Uttara on Thursday morning to become the very first passengers on the brand new form of public transport for capital Dhaka. It was the first day of commercial operation following its inauguration by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday.
The first few months will witness a limited service, four hours a day (8am to 12pm).
