Civil Surgeon Dr AKM Mostafizur Rahman said with the new cases, the district has 11 coronavirus patients.
A doctor and nurse of Lakhai Upazila Health Complex were among those infected, he said.
Samples of 39 people were sent to Sylhet for coronavirus test on Sunday and among them, 10 were found to be positive, Rahman said.
All the infected patients will be shifted to Habiganj Hospital on Tuesday, Dr Rahman said.
Meanwhile, the death toll from coronavirus continued to rise in Bangladesh as 10 more people died from the virus infection in the last 24 hours till Monday, taking fatalities in the country to 101.
Besides, a record number of 492 people tested positive for coronavirus during the period, raising the number of confirmed cases in the country to 2,948.
State Minister distributes relief among 500 families in Jamalpur
State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Murad Hasan distributed food aid among the underprivileged people of Sarishabari in Jamalpur early Tuesday.
He went door to door for distributing the relief materials with the help of local administration.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shihab Uddin Ahmed and Officer-in-Charge of Sarishabari Police Station Majedur Rahman also accompanied Murad.
He distributed rice, lentil, oil, potato and soap among the unemployed and low-income families.
The relief distribution was launched as the ongoing general holidays, aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus, has left a large number of people without jobs and food to feed their families.

Coronavirus cases rises to five in Faridpur
After the detection of another coronavirus patient on Tuesday, the total number of confirmed cases rose to five in Faridpur.
Civil Surgeon Dr Siddiqur Rahman said five persons have so far tested positive in three upazilas – Char Bhadrason, Nagarkanda and Boalmari.
Faridpur Medical College Hospital tested 57 samples for the first time and confirmed one person with the virus from Char Bhadrason upazila on Tuesday, he added.
Char Bhadrason Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jesmin Sultana said the person tested positive for coronavirus is a woman from Baliadangi village in Sadar union.
Deputy Commissioner Atul Sarkar said they put Nagarkanda upazila under lockdown as three of the confirmed cases are from that upazila only.
Other upazilas in the districts are under supervision, DC added.
Bangladesh has so far confirmed 2,948 coronavirus cases and 101 deaths.
