Dhaka, July 2 (UNB) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a report to Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan on Tuesday identifying 10 sources of corruption in the railways sector.
ACC Chairman Dr Md Mozammel Haque Khan handed over the report to the Minister at his office.
Khan said the report, prepared by the ACC institutional team, also made 15 recommendations. The report does not contain opinion of any expert.
Khan said that the ACC has been working tirelessly to curb corruption focusing on the Prime Minister’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy.
In 2017, ACC formed 25 separate institutional teams for as many establishments to identify sources of corruption and prevent it. ACC has so far filed 12 reports to concerned ministries. The report on railways is its 13th.
