Law Minister Anisul Huq on Thursday urged sub-registrars to serve people without harassing them to resolve the image crisis of the Directorate of Registration.
“The Directorate of Registration has been upgraded to a department, while all dues of copy interns have been cleared and appointments made against the vacant posts of sub-registrars. Besides, trainings have been arranged for them at home and abroad,” he said.
Speaking at a programme at the Judicial Administration Training Institute in the city marking the farewell of outgoing Inspector General of the directorate Khan Md Abdul Mannan, the minister further said, “Now is the time to only serve people. People will get proper service only if officials and employee work with a mentality to serve them.”
He also said the dignity of the department will also be protected through this, he added.
