He said this while replying to queries from reporters after attending the opening ceremony of the 142nd Refreshers’ Training Course of Joint District and Session’s Judges and equivalent judicial officials at Judicial Administration Training Institute here.
The minister said 87 of the deputy attorneys general who were appointed since 2009 have so far stepped down following his instructions. “Appointment against these posts will be made soon and the freshers will be given priority for this.”
About the case filed over the Holey Artisan Bakery militant attack, he said they were trying to complete the trial speedily.
Anisul also described the terror attack, the deadliest in the country’s history, as an isolated one.
He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has announced a ‘zero-tolerance’ policy against militancy.
The minister said proceedings in the cases filed over the killings of Caesar Travella two students of Ramizuddin School and College and Feni madrasa girl Nusrat Jahan Rafi are going on. “We’ll make sure so that the trial in the cases completes in time and the perpetrators get exemplary punishment,” he said.
