Leading conservation learning hub, Noazesh Knowledge Centre (NKC) of WildTeam, hosted the WildShow titled ‘PROJONMMO- The Birth of a Life’ at Cosmos Centre in the city’s Malibagh area.
Bizoy Mahmud, a young filmmaker from Asian School of Media Studies, India has been working on wild life since 2014 but he has produced a short film on wildlife for the first time.
The film was shot in Agumbe Rainforest in Bengaluru, India.
The film is on the life of a bird. This story is about two members of a forest -- Tuni and Tona. People call them Purple-rumped sunbirds.
The documentary depicts the story of their struggle to bring their child to the earth which is not an easy one, Bizoy Mahmud said.
There is no want of Tona-Tuni’s enemies in the huge forest, he said.
It took 387 days to make the film, Bizoy Mahmud, director and scriptwriter of the film, said, adding that he created the script for the documentary with the help of Bulbul Masud and Ismail Hossain.
Dr Md Anwarul Islam, professor of Zoology department at Dhaka University and CEO of WildTeam, and Abhishek Sinha Roy from Nagorik Television were present at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Anwarul said working with the wildlife is a challenging task.
Abhishek hailed Bizoy Mahmud for his work and encouraged him to work more and explore the beauty of Bangladesh.
