She sought the cooperation during a meeting with Indian Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in Male, the capital city of the Maldives.
During the meeting, the two Speakers discussed the activities of parliamentary standing committees, parliamentary friendly groups, e-parliament and other issues apart from the Rohingya one.
Over the Rohingya issue, Om Birla assured Dr Chaudhury that he would convey it to the Indian government.
Dr Chaudhury also congratulated Om Birla on her election as the 17th Speaker of Lok Sabha.
Noting that Bangladesh and India are neigbouring and friendly countries, she said the friendly relations between the two countries have reached new height.
The Bangladesh Speaker invited the Indian Speaker to visit Bangladesh, said a Parliament Secretariat handout.
He said the tour exchange of parliamentary friendly groups and exchange of training for the officials will strengthen the parliamentary ties of the two countries further.
Later, Dr Chaudhury attended the 4th South Asian Speakers’ Summit that started on Sunday in Male, according to another release.
Addressing the two-day summit, Dr Chaudhury called for building a peaceful and inclusive future world on the basis of equity removing poverty.
Noting that the summit will play an important role in attaining the SDGs, she said the door for exchanging work plans and experiences among the parliaments of the South Asia has been opened through the summit.
Bangladesh reduced the poverty rate to 21 percent from 40 percent in the last 10 years under the leadership of the current Prime Minister, the Speaker said.
Presided over by Maldives Speaker Mohamed Nasheed, the summit was attended by Speakers from different countries of the South Asia and Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) secretary general Martin Chungong.
