Condemning the incident, the TIB strongly demanded formulation of a specific policy to stop the misuse of VIP facility.
Seriously injured Titash, who is a student of Class-VI, died at an ambulance on the ferry which was delayed by three hours at Kathalbari Ferry Terminal in Madaripur on Thursday night.

“But this responsibility was utterly neglected here,” the statement said.
He said it is in no way expected that Titash had to embrace early demise due to the misuse of power in the name of VIP facility.
“We, on behalf of TIB, expressed sympathy to the bereaved family of Titash and strongly demand that his family be given due compensation immediately,” said Dr Iftekharuzzaman.
He demanded measures from the Cabinet Division and Public Administration Ministry to check through a specific government order such misuse of the so-called VIP culture, said a press release.
Dr Zaman said the death of Titash is an embarrassing incident. “We expect the government to inform people about bringing everyone involved in such shocking incident under accountability and taking necessary initiatives to prevent the recurrence of such incidents,” he added.
