Cox’s Bazar, Nov 10 (UNB) - Ambassador of United Nations Secretary General for Rohingya affairs Cristin S Bargner visited the Shalbagan Rohingya camp of Cox’s Bazar on Saturday morning.
The ambassador shared his words with nine Rohingya leaders including Shalbagan Development Committee Chairman Ramida Begum at LPG warehouse distribution center for almost one hour and assured them that they won’t be sent to Myanmar forcefully.
Ramida Begum told the ambassador that Myanmar army killed their people according to a plan to obliterate them. “So we have left the country to save our lives. We want justice for the killings then we will go home (Myanmar).”
Replying to Ramida Begum’s demands, Bargner said that international pressure is being directly applied on Myanmar for repatriating them. He also expressed his optimism that Rohingyas will not be force to leave Bangladesh.
