Besides, a Class-VII boy has been arrested in Bogura for allegedly raping a Class-IX girl.
In Feni, a group of 5-6 miscreants ‘raped’ the widow at Charganesh village in Sonagazi upazila early Monday with the help of another woman.
Police have arrested two suspects -- Sanju Shikder, 35, and Rahima Sundari, 40, over the incident.
Police said the victim went to Sonagazi Model Police Station on September 10 to file a case against her cousin and uncle over a land-related dispute. She met Rahima Sundori at the police station.
Rahima identified herself as a policewoman and took the victim to her place at Charganesh village as she could not return to her father’s house following threats from her rivals. Since then, she had been residing at Rahima’s house.
In the early hours of Monday, Sanju along with his accomplices violated the woman one after another with the help of Rahima.
Later, the victim filed a case against them on Tuesday, said officer-in-charge of the police station Moin Uddin.
The victim was also sent to Sadar Hospital for medical test, he said.
In Kurigram, an elderly man allegedly violated a fifth grader at Rotiran Pathanpara village of Rajarhat upazila on Wednesday.
Abdul Quader, 65, took the minor girl to his house in the morning and raped her there, locals said.
Hearing victim’s screaming, locals rushed in and caught the suspect.
On information, police went to the spot and arrested Quader, said officer-in-charge of Rajarhat Police Station Krishna Kumar Sarkar.
In Sirajganj, a young man ‘raped’ a minor girl at Tamai Kutiapara village in Belkuchi upazila on Tuesday.
Police arrested the suspect, Majnu, 25, a weaving worker and son of Liakat Ali, on Tuesday night.
Officer-in-charge of Belkuchi Police Station Anwarul Islam said Majnu took the girl to his room around 11am while she was returning from her school and raped her there.
Locals rushed in hearing victim screams but the rapist managed to flee.
Victim’s father filed a case in this regard and later police arrested the suspect.
In Bogura, police arrested a seventh grader from Malancha Bazar area in Kahalu upazila on Tuesday night as he allegedly raped a ninth grader at Panisara village of the upazila, said officer-in-charge of Kahalu Police Station Md Zia Latiful Islam.
According to police, the 15-year-old boy went to girl’s house on Sunday and violated her.
The accused fled when locals rushed in sensing the matter. Victim’s grandmother filed a case on Tuesday in this regard.
