A meeting of the Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, began at the Cabinet Room of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Thursday night.
The meeting began around 8:45pm, according to a release from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
Cabinet meetings are usually held on Thursdays at the Secretariat. However, as the Parliament session is currently underway, the meeting is being held at the Parliament complex following the day’s sitting.
According to Cabinet sources, a number of important issues are expected to be discussed at the meeting, including the fuel oil and energy situation and related challenges.
