My dear citizens at home and abroad,

Distinguished friends, who join us in celebrating this auspicious day,

I greet you with my most heartfelt feelings, affection and respect.

I congratulate each and every one of our citizens living in our country and in all corners of the world, on 29 October Republic Day.

I would like to thank all our friends and guests at home and different parts of the world as well for sharing with us our joy on this festive day, on behalf of my country and nation.

Today, we feel the happiness and rightful pride of reaching the first anniversary of the new century of our Republic.

Happy 101st anniversary of the founding of our Republic.

I commemorate with gratitude first and foremost Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic and the founding cadres of our State, which is the last and eternal link in the succession of our States reaching over thousands of years.

I wish Allah's mercy on our martyrs and veterans, who watered the soils of our homeland with their blood for the sake of our independence and future since the Battle of Malazgirt.

Our martyrs, especially those we lost in the attack on TUSAŞ, the leading organization of our defence industry, and each of our brothers and sisters who fell as if stepping into a rose garden for our independence, will always live in our hearts.

As the poet says, “A PERSON GROWS UP IN A CRADLE TO LIE IN A GRAVE; AND HEROES DIE TO KEEP THE HOMELAND ALIVE."…

I remember with respect and veneration every one of our heroes who played a role in the establishment and survival of our States that ruled in the vast expanse of our geography of hearts and left indelible traces on history.

We are determined to make the independent, strong, honourable, prosperous Türkiye everlasting forever, which is the legacy of all our States extending from the Seljuks to the Ottoman Empire, and finally to the Republic, in the Anatolian lands.

As a nation, we have a long-established state tradition that exceeds 2200 years, which finds its meaning in the 16 stars on our Presidential Seal.

We aim to use, develop and strengthen this legacy in a way that will offer the greatest contribution to the common heritage of humanity, with our kin and friends besides us.

To make peace, tranquillity, security and justice prevail within our borders, our region and in the world, we will hold on more tightly to this age-old historical perspective of our nation and our values of civilization.

Neither terrorist organizations, nor those who are trying to throw our region into blood and fire with their expansionist ambitions, nor the imperialists who support and spoil them, can prevent our struggle from reaching its goal.

To this end, we have worked and are working day and night, to raise our country above the level of contemporary civilisations, overcoming all obstacles one by one.

With our nation’s support, we have accomplished significant achievements in the period we left behind, making great sacrifices, foiling many insidious conspirations and traps, and thwarting many treacherous attacks.

We are now on the eve of a period where the sacrifices we have made will be rewarded in every field, from security to technology, from diplomacy to economy.

There are only a few obstacles left to overcome, and a few complications to resolve to reach the bright future we call ‘the Century of Türkiye’.

We are aware of the difficulties in our nation’s lives, caused in the last 6 years by the attempts to shatter our country, especially through threats against our security, as well as economy and other areas.

Likewise, we recognize that we must bury in history, by using all our means, the scourge of terrorism that has been draining our energy, wearing away our brotherhood and distracting us from our goals in the last 40 years.

We want to wide open the gates for a Türkiye where we will compete not in hardships but in joys, where we will share our riches not poverty, where we will nourish our hopes not pessimism.

As we stated in last year's Republic Day message, whatever we do, we do it with the intention of glorifying the ideal of a great and strong Türkiye, regardless of external and internal threats.

With the help of Allah, the wisdom and support of our nation, and the political and military power of Türkiye, we are determined to make our Republic even stronger in this new era we have entered.

We sincerely believe that all members of our nation, regardless of their origins, outlook and political views, and all our friends, wherever they live in the world, will be with us in this historical struggle.

May Allah be with us and guide us.

With these feelings, I sincerely congratulate all our citizens living in Türkiye and abroad on the Republic Day.

May the souls of our martyrs rest in peace, their places be exalted and their memories eternal!
