Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Friday visited ailing BNP senior leader and his political adviser Mirza Abbas at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
The Prime Minister went to the hospital after Juma prayers and enquired about the health condition of Mirza Abbas, who has been undergoing treatment there since Wednesday night.
Tarique Rahman spent some time beside Abbas’s bed and also spoke with his family members, said Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Roni.
He said the Prime Minister also instructed the authorities concerned to take quick steps to arrange his treatment in Singapore.
Mirza Abbas’s wife and President of Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal Afroza Abbas and the attending doctors were present at the hospital at that time.
Mirza Abbas, a member of the BNP Standing Committee, was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Bashundhara on Wednesday night after he suddenly fell ill and lost consciousness.
