Bangladesh Men's Hockey team completed the 12-nation 19th Asian Games Men's Hockey assignment with a humiliating 0-12 goals defeat against India in their last Pool A match at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium in Hangzhou on Monday.

But Bangladesh suffered their biggest defeat in their first appearance in the Asian Games in 1978 losing to Pakistan by 0-17 goals, followed by their 0-14 defeat against South Korea in 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok.
With the day's well merited victory, India clinched the top slot of six-team Pool A to reach the semifinal with an all win record securing full 15 points from all the five group encounters while Bangladesh finished 4th in Pool A with six points beating Singapore 7-3 and Uzbekistan by 4-2 goals.

In the day's one sided match, captain Harmanpreet Singh (2', 4', 32') and Mandeep Singh (18', 24', 46') made hattricks scoring three goals each for India.
Besides, Abhishek scored two (41', 57') while Lalit Kumar Upadhyay (23'), Amit Rohidas (28'), Nilkanta Sharma (47') and Gurjan Singh (56') scored one each for India in the day's match.
