Bangladesh Police have the capacity to face any challenges related to elections or law and order issues in the coming days.
"And they are ready to face any challenges," Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said on Thursday.
He said this while talking to journalists after inaugurating the Bangabandhu Corner at the office of the Superintendent of Police of Habiganj district this morning.

The IGP also said that police will carry out its duties following laws and regulations under the Election Commission during the upcoming national election.
In another query, Chowdhury Abdullah said there was a conspiracy to erase Bangabandhu's name from the history after assassinating Bangabandhu and his family members.
But Bangabandhu's name could not be erased from the hearts of the people who inspired the Bengalee nation in the spirit of independence.

He said that Bangabandhu spent the golden time of his life in the prison cell for the rights and freedom of the people of this country.
The IGP said that the young generation is keen to learn Bangabandhu and his struggling life. They want to study about Bangabandhu.
DIG of Sylhet Range Sha Migan Shafiur Rahman, Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Elias Sharif, Habiganj District Superintendent of Police SM Murad Ali and other officials were also present at that time.

Later, the IGP addressed as the chief guest at a special welfare meeting with the forces of all units working in the Sylhet range at the District Police Lines.
Besides, the IGP visited Shalla Ghungiargaon Bazar Central Sri Sri Kalimandir in Sunamganj, Sri Sri Mahaprabhu Akhara in Habiganj Sadar, Ramakrishna Mission in Ajmiriganj on the occasion of Janmashtami.
