Francesco Arezzo will assume the position of President of Rotary International on July 1, steering the global organisation under the inspiring slogan ‘United for Good’.
A dedicated Rotarian since 1988, Arezzo brings a wealth of experience to this prestigious role.
He has served Rotary in various capacities, including as an International Assembly Learning Facilitator, President’s Representative, Assistant Rotary Membership Coordinator, and as a committee member and chair.
Arezzo chaired an International Convention Committee and served as president of the editorial board of Rotary Italia during 2009–10.
He has been a practicing orthodontist since 1980 and the owner of a farm producing extra virgin olive oil.
Alongside his wife, Anna Maria, he is a passionate supporter of art and music.
He founded the Ragusa chapter of Fondo Ambiente Italiano (the National Trust for Italy), which is dedicated to preserving art and the environment.
Both he and his wife are major donors and benefactors of the Rotary Foundation, said a press release on Monday.
