Police arrested two young men from separate places early Sunday in a case filed in connection with the rape of a class V girl student in Rayergaon area of Sylhet Sadar upazila.
The arrestees are Jasim Uddin, 22, son of Nasir Uddin and Md Ekhlas Miah, 20, son of Tojmmul Ali, 20, residents of Rayergaon area.
They were arrested from Sunamganj and Sylhet districts, said Okil Uddin, officer-in-charge of Jalalabad Police Station.
Earlier on September 13, victim’s father filed the case with the police station accusing two people for kidnapping and raping her daughter.
