The government on Monday announced Tk 188.49 crore incentive for 19, 53,700 farmers across the country, aiming to increase the production of 10 varieties of robi crops.
The Agriculture Ministry issued a handout in this regard on Monday.
The ten crops include wheat, maize, mustard, sunflower, peanuts, soybean, onion, summer pulse (moong), pulse (mosur and khesari).
Farmers will get fertilizers and 20 kgs of wheat seeds, two kgs of maize seeds, one kg of mustard/sunflower seeds, ten kgs of peanuts seeds, 8 kgs of soybean seeds, one kg of winter variety seeds, one of moong/masoor seeds and eight kgs of khesari seeds for per bigha land, it said.
The incentive is being given from the regular budget of the ministry.
Already an order in this regard has been issued and the distribution of incentives will start soon at the field level.
