A 48-year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly by his daughter at Dehati village in Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Matiar Rahman Moti, 48, son of Golam Hossain of the village and a crockery vendor.
Being informed by local people, police recovered the body of Matiar from the house around 7:30 am, said SM Zabeed Hassan, officer-in-charge of Jibannagar Police Station.

The body bore several injury marks, said the OC.
Police detained Taslima Khatun, wife and Moyna Khatun, 25, daughter of of Matiar from the house.
The actual reason behind the death could be known after getting the autopsy report, said police.

Majibor Rahman, member of the No 2 ward of KDK Union, said Taslima and Moyna claimed that Matiar made an illicit proposal to Moyna and so she killed her out of anger.
