Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in London, the capital city of the United Kingdom (UK), on Saturday morning from Washington DC.
A commercial flight of the British Airways carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage members landed at the London Heathrow Airport at 11:07am (London time).
Bangladesh High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (UK) Saida Muna Tasneem received the Premier at the airport.
The United Kingdom (UK) chapter of the Awami League (AL) has welcomed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina standing beside both sides of the road in front of her place of residence, the Hotel Taj here.
On her arrival at the hotel, she was received by the AL UK chapter President and General Secretary Sultan Mahmud Shariff and Syed Shazidur Rahman Faruk with a flower bouquet, said an official release.
Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Mayor Anower Uz Zaman Choudhury, Habibur Rahman Habib, MP, Alhaj Zalal Uddin, Hormuz Ali Noim uddin Reaz, Maruf Choudhury, Abdul Ahad Choudhury Khaleda Qureshi and Shahin Akhter, among others were present.
Sheikh Hasina, also President of the Awami League, arrived in London by a flight of the British Airways at 11:07am today after completing her New York and Washington DC tour.
The flight departed the Dulles International Airport, Washington DC, for London at 11:40pm (Washington time) on September 29.
Bangladesh Ambassador to the USA Muhammad Imran saw the Prime Minister off at the airport.
During her stay in USA from September 17 to 29, the Prime Minister attended the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session and several high-level side and bilateral events in New York and a reception hosted to the Premier by Bangladeshi expatriates in USA.
The Prime Minister will leave London for home by a commercial flight (BG -208) of the Biman Bangladesh Airlines around 8:35pm (London time) on October 3 and is scheduled to reach Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka at 12:30am (Bangladesh time) on October 4.
