A tense situation unfolded at the Ekushey Boi Mela on Monday evening when a group of people confronted the Sabyasachi Prokashoni stall over the sale of exiled Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen’s book “Chumbon”.
Eyewitnesses reported that a crowd gathered at the stall after noticing the book on display. Amid the commotion, writer Shatabdi Bhav, who was present at the stall, became the center of a heated exchange.

As tensions escalated, some individuals in the crowd demanded an apology from Bhav. Facing mounting pressure, the writer eventually folded his hands in a gesture of apology. Police later intervened and escorted him away from the scene.
